Attachments
Files that belong to the customer rather than to one job live on the customer record: the signed contract, a site plan, a compliance certificate, photos of the layout.
Open a customer, stay on the Customer Details tab and scroll to the Attachments panel at the bottom. It’s part of your brand’s customer layout, so a colleague can move it or take it off the form.
Uploading
Section titled “Uploading”Click Upload File and pick a file. The upload starts immediately, a bar shows the progress, and the file joins the list when it lands. Add them one at a time; the panel doesn’t take a whole folder at once.
Each row shows the file name, its size and the date it was added. Images show a thumbnail instead of an icon.
WorkWing accepts PDFs, images (JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP), Word documents and Excel spreadsheets. Anything else is refused with a message saying so.
How large a single file can be depends on your plan.
| Plan | Largest file |
|---|---|
| Free | 5 MB |
| Basic | 10 MB |
| Standard | 25 MB |
| Professional | 50 MB |
A file over the limit is rejected before it uploads, and the message names the limit it hit. Billing is where you change plan.
Downloading and removing
Section titled “Downloading and removing”The menu at the end of each row has Download, which opens the file, and Delete, which asks you to confirm first.
Deleting the customer takes their attachments with them.
Who can do what
Section titled “Who can do what”Uploading and deleting need the Operator, Operations Manager, Brand Administrator or Tenant Admin role, the same access as editing the customer. Anyone who can open the customer can download what’s already there.
Files attached to a job rather than a customer are covered in Job details.
