Job details

The job page is everything about one job in one place. Open it by clicking a job anywhere in WorkWing.

The header carries the job type as its title, the job number, the status and the priority, and the date the job was created. Under that: the customer, linked to their record, the site address, and the brand the job belongs to.

Three figures sit alongside: how many people are on the job, when it’s scheduled, and how long it’s meant to take. If the job type sets SLA targets, Response and Resolution badges show whether each one is on track, at risk, breached or met.

Assign engineer, Schedule and Mark complete all take you to the edit form, which is where those changes are made. Make Recurring turns this job into a repeating schedule, covered in Recurring jobs. Once a job is closed those give way to Re-open.

If the site has been placed on the map, a small map sits on the right with a Directions link.

Back, Edit and Delete are in the very top corner.

  • Part of a project, linking to it, when this job is one of a project’s jobs.
  • Part of recurring schedule, with a link to the schedule on the customer’s record.
  • Verification Code, the code your engineer shows at the door. See Verification codes.
  • Status Notes, when the job was put on hold, marked incomplete, sent for rebooking or failed. A failed job shows the reason that was picked alongside whatever was typed.
  • Ready to complete, on a project whose every job is finished but which still needs signing off.

The body of the page lays out the job’s fields the way your brand has arranged them, so the sections and their order are yours: title, priority, job type, site, notes, status, custom fields, attachments. See Customer and resource layouts for how that’s set up.

If the job type’s form runs in steps, Form Progress shows how far through your engineer is and which step they’re on. Once the job is done, Completed Form Data shows every answer, including signatures and the files they uploaded.

Every person on the job, with their assignment status, when they were assigned, and an arrival time while they’re en route. The speech-bubble button next to someone sends them a message about this job. To add or remove people, open Edit.

When an engineer has shared their location on the way to a job with a mapped site, the route they took is drawn on the page.

When the job type allows parts, this section lists what’s been recorded against the job, by the office or by your engineer on site, with what each part cost at the time. Add Part puts one on from here. See Parts catalogue.

If an integration has tied this job to a record in another system, the reference shows here.

Notes & Activity is the job’s running history: status changes, people assigned and unassigned, calls attempted from the app, and notes anyone has typed. Add your own at the bottom.

Messages to field workers is separate, and it goes to phones. See Messaging the field.

If the job you’re looking at is a project, its jobs are listed near the bottom with what’s happened to each one. The page shows them; the actions for moving, detaching, pinning and assigning them live on the edit form. See The pool and claiming.

Delete removes the job with its notes, messages, attachments and history. Deleting a project deletes every job under it, and the confirmation says how many. A job that an integration has touched recently can’t be deleted until that activity has cleared.

Viewing a job needs the Operator, Operations Manager, Brand Administrator or Tenant Admin role. Deleting one needs Brand Administrator or Tenant Admin.
