Saved reports

The dashboard answers the questions most teams ask. Saved Reports, the second tab under Reports, is for the ones only your business asks.

Anyone who can see reports can open, run and export a saved report. Creating, editing and removing them needs the Brand Administrator or Tenant Admin role.

Each report is a card with its name and what it counts. Your own come first, most recently changed at the front. After them sit the six WorkWing ships, marked Default: Status Breakdown, Job Count Trend, Priority Distribution, SLA Compliance, Avg Duration by Job Type and Resource Utilisation.

The menu on a card has Open, Edit and Remove. Removing one of your own deletes it. Removing a default hides it for everyone in your organisation, with no way to bring it back from inside WorkWing, so the confirmation says so plainly.

Defaults are read-only, and there are two ways to work from one. Open it, change it and save, and you get your version as a new report with the default left in place. Edit does something different: it hands you an editable copy and takes the default out of the library. If you want to keep the default, open it rather than editing it.

New report opens the composer, with the definition down the left and a live preview on the right that redraws as you change things.

Give it a Report name, then pick a Data source. Everything below adapts to it, so you only ever see things that make sense for what you’re counting.

Data source One row is Group by Measures
Jobs a job Status, Priority, Job Type, Customer Type Jobs, Completed, Avg Duration, Completion Rate, SLA Compliance, SLA Eligible, SLA Met
Resources an assignment Resource, Job Status Assignments, Completed Jobs, Avg Duration
Customers a customer Customer Type, Country Customers

Group by is what becomes your rows or bars, four at most. Measures is what gets calculated, six at most, and a report needs at least one.

Time bucket turns a snapshot into a trend. Pick the date to bucket against, then Day, Week or Month. On jobs that date is Created or Completed; on resources, Assigned or Job Created; on customers, Created. Leave it on No time bucket for a straight breakdown.

Date range starts on All time. Choose 7d, 30d or 90d to hold the report to a period, and it writes a pair of date filters you can see and adjust below.

Add filter narrows it further, ten filters at most. Each one is a field, an operator and a value, and the operators are is, is one of, is on or after and is on or before. You can filter on anything you can group by, plus the dates.

Visualisation offers Bar, Line, Stacked bar, Donut, Table and Single stat, and only ever the ones your report can support.

  • Table always works.
  • Single stat wants one measure, no grouping and no time bucket.
  • Donut wants exactly one group and one measure.
  • Bar, Line and Stacked bar want a group or a time bucket. Until you add one the preview says so: Add a group-by or time bucket to enable charts.

Save puts the report in the library for everyone in your organisation who can view reports. Export CSV downloads what’s on screen, including changes you haven’t saved yet.
