Resources overview

A resource is someone who goes out and does the work. Resources in the top navigation opens the resource hub: a list of your people on the left, a map in the middle, and a panel on the right with the detail of whoever you’ve picked.

Your brand may call them engineers, technicians or fitters. The whole app follows that word, and this page still describes the same screen. See Terminology.

Total Resources, then Available, On Job, On Break and Unavailable. On Job is anyone with an assignment in progress, which is separate from their availability: someone can be available and on a job at the same time.

Next to Create Resource is your seat count, used against what your plan includes. When you’ve used them all, the button stops working and a banner points you at Billing.

Search matches a name or an email address. Filter opens a short list of the three availability states, each with how many people are in it, and you can tick any combination. A line underneath tells you how many people you’re looking at out of how many there are.

Each card carries the name, the current availability, when their location last came in, and their tags. A card flashes briefly when something about that person changes, so you can watch the board rather than refreshing it.

Every resource whose phone has reported a position gets a pin, labelled with their name. Click a pin or a card and the panel opens on the right. Fit all zooms out to take in everyone, and the two buttons beside it switch to satellite and hide the name labels.

Someone whose phone has never reported a position simply has no pin.

Picking someone opens their availability, with the break reason if they’re on one, their email and phone, the job they’re on with its assignment status, their last known position and how long ago it arrived, their tags, and a timeline of what they’ve been doing. Full Profile opens their full record.

The whole page is live. New positions, availability changes and assignment updates arrive as they happen.

Resources belong to your organisation rather than to one brand, and each has a list of brands they work across, so one engineer can take jobs from several. Those come from the invitation they accepted, not from a control on their record. What you see is limited to your own brand access.

Brand Administrators, Operations Managers and Tenant Admins can create, view, edit and delete resources. Operators can look but not change. Someone with the Resource role gets no Resources section at all; they work from the mobile app.
